Some of the best, authentic, local Mexican food in Wilmington. The last time I was there I ordered the pork posole soup. The cashier assured me that I'd love it and she was right. The bowl of soup was enormous- enough for leftovers for days.

This restaurant is not your American Mexican joint. It's the real deal. It's reasonably priced, quick, and delicious. I've never had a bad meal here, and it's the kind of place where if you want to try something different you won't be disappointed. The staff are super helpful too in terms of helping you decide what to get if you get overwhelmed.

    Love this place!

For being around here, the food is really great and enough to hold me over when I'm homesick for West Texas. Staff are friendly and chile bar is legit, so thankful they have soda de manzana, too, my favorite. The portions for the chicken enchiladas were very generous, and the tacos we got were tasty. Looking forward to coming back to try the menudo!

My go to Spanish place to eat! I love this place! Authentic and priced right!! My favorite is the Carne Asada tacos, I ask for extra cilantro every time. They never disappoint!! I go in here at minimum once a week...

If you want authentic Mexican street tacos come to La Tapatia. They are the best I've tasted in this area. I also had a tongue sope and it was perfectly cooked. The red salsa was not too spicy but had the perfect kick. They also have a cabbage, cucumber, cilantro salad that is fresh and crisp, with a little squeeze of lime and pinch of salt it refreshes your palate for the next bite of your carnitas taco. We had an horchata that was also very refreshing. They serve your typical Mexican beers too. Service was good and food came out at a timely manner. They had a duet singing rancheras which made the experience even more authentic. This California girl will be back, viva las raza!
